Intentions for 2014

I guess each year people sit and think about their new year’s resolutions and what their goals are for the year ahead. Some people want to lose weight, some want to quit smoking, and others may want to have more sex.

Yep, I added that in because that is one of my new year’s resolutions.

It’s fair to say that sitting down and thinking about what you’d like to achieve in the year ahead in regards to your personal hobbies is something that will be on your list. When it comes to pole dancing, I always make sure I have at least one intention that is realistic and I’m able to stick to.

The end of last year had me in a place where I could either be great or stay the same. I am extremely strong compared to recent months. I can’t even say why that is. I worked pretty damn hard though, so I’m sure it has something to do with it. So hard, in fact, that on our last performance my teacher told everyone at the end of the class, including the audience, that if anyone deserved an award for the hardest working, most passionate and enthusiastic student, it would be me, and that she is extremely proud of the dancer I’ve become.

That in itself is pretty special.

So in 2014 I am setting myself some goals.

– I want to be closer to doing a rainbow marchenko. My back is ridiculously flexible and I think it is well within reach if I work towards it.
– I want to enter Miss Pole Dance. This thought seems extremely daunting to me right now. I haven’t won any competitions that are for amateurs, but I think it needs to be something I put focus on.
– I’d like to get fitter, leaner and hotter. And be more sexy than ever.

These are only 3 things, but they are achievable if I can stay motivated.

And here is one of my motivations.
